An animator is a creative professional who brings characters, objects, and stories to life through motion and visual storytelling. Using techniques like 2D hand-drawn animation, 3D computer-generated imagery (CGI), or stop-motion, animators design sequences frame by frame to create the illusion of movement. They work in industries such as film, television, video games, advertising, and web design, collaborating with directors, artists, and programmers to achieve a cohesive vision. Skills include drawing, timing, software proficiency (e.g., Adobe Animate, Maya, Blender), and an understanding of physics and emotion to make movements believable. Animators often specialize in areas like character animation, effects, or layout, contributing to the magic of visual media.
